Throughout her practice, Pryor explores the intersections between marketing, commerce and the consumer along with the relationship of economics and capitalism to communities and culture.

A selection of Pryor’s recent mixed media collages on panel, canvas and paper as well as site-specific installations that incorporate painting, printmaking and sculpture are on view at Casita Maria Gallery.

“Amy Pryor’s work challenges our youth to consider the visual and verbal language of advertising and commerce allowing them to question the effects consumerism and capitalistic values have on the physical and psychological aspects of our society.”
– Christine Licata, Curator, Casita Maria Gallery
